Brian Walshe told friend he lost his phone the same day wife went missing, Internet says he 'ditched' it

NORWELL, MASSACHUSETTS: Brian Walshe, who is currently being held on $500,000 bond on a charge of misleading investigators in the missing case of his wife, Ana Walshe reportedly told his friend, Mike Silva, that he had lost his phone on the same day when Ana went missing.
According to Fox News, Mike who has rented out an apartment for Walshe wished him a new year at 7.24 am on January 1, however, Walshe only responded to his message the next day, stating, "Happy new year. Sorry for the delay. I miss placed my phone and my son just found it."

Meanwhile, he went on a shopping spree soon after he texted the message to Silva. He was seen in CCTV footage wearing a black surgical mask and blue surgical gloves and paying a sum of $450 in cleaning supplies. However, he told the investigation team that he had kissed him goodbye around 6 am on New Year day to board a flight to Washington, D.C., for an emergency work trip. Later, prosecutors realized that she never got into a taxi and her cellphone continued to ping near her home on Monday, January 2. Police then arrested him for misleading investigators on Sunday, January 8.
He had also told police that he lost his cellphone. "Walshe related one of the boys must have taken and lost his phone during new years eve and new years day," stated the affidavit. Later, his son found the phone under a pillow. Further, the investigators have found blood and a bloody knife in the basement of the Walshes' home. They also recovered a hatchet, a hacksaw, and trash bags with blood from a waste facility.
