Latest reports claim that former Vice President Mike Pence is making political plans without Donald Trump. Pence reportedly plans to form a policy-focused fundraising committee that would help him maintain a relationship with donors. Are these signs that he might want to run for presidentship in 2024? Will he be competing against Donald Trump?

According to multiple sources familiar with Pence's plans, the former VP might announce the formation of a political action committee — a nonprofit social welfare organization. According to reports, this will happen sooner than later with Pence announcing the move in the coming weeks.

One person familiar with the plan, reportedly said that Pence will announce the formation of a nonprofit social welfare organization to amplify his positions on a “consistent conservative philosophy" within the next month. According to an NBC report, such groups, known as 501(c)(4) nonprofits, can be active on political issues but are not allowed to engage in campaigning, and they can attract millions of dollars by keeping their donors secret.

This would give Pence a foothold in the fundraising world, which allows him to maintain relationships with donors. It will be beneficial in case he decides to run for president in 2024. However, Pence is not expected to make an announcement about his own future campaigns until after the 2022 midterms, but advisers reportedly said he has not made a final decision about whether to run for the Republican presidential nomination.

All of this brings us to one big question that is even driving social media nuts. Will Mike Pence run for presidentship since he clearly seems to have plans to do so. And if he is, will he be competing against his former boss?

Trump supporters are not happy about this and have been reminding Pence of the time he apparently "betrayed" Trump. "I/We have heard about your plans to run for President in 2024! Forget it! 75 million [minimum] will not vote for you after you betrayed President Trump on January 6,2021 ! That's what I've been hearing in"chat"rooms !The number is greatly higher that voted for Trump! TRAITOR !" one Trump supporter said.

"Please mike pence dont ever run for president ,your efforts as head of the corona virus task force was pathetic ,a man without balls or a spine would be worse than what was had for the last 4 years. U stand for nothing you say nothing you did nothing," another user commented. "@Mike_Pence you disgust me. You stabbed a man in the back for your own self interest. You will never be president. You will never even make it to the running. The movement will NEVER support you. #traitor" another added.

Pence was first declared "traitor" by Trump's followers after he allegedly refused to overturn the election results. This angered MAGA fans so much that they were ready to hang him during the US Capitol riots of January 6, 2021. "Don’t waste your time running for President in 2024. You betrayed President Trump. You can’t win. If you did, we would have to conclude that elections are not elections but placements. Just go home and find something non political to occupy your time," a user wrote. "@VP45 Hey traitor don’t run for Prez in 2024, you’ll only be wasting your time and money. You’ll probably get more boos from folks, than actual votes. Nobody likes a liar and a traitor, especially one as corrupt as you," another added.

On the other hand, Trump has been reportedly suggesting to allies that he is eager to get involved in primaries against Republicans who he feels have wronged him, according to sources familiar with those discussions. At the same time, he hasn’t announced any intentions about 2024 even though many advisors reportedly say that Trump is seriously considering running again.
