Michelle Obama is having a good time with Ellen DeGeneres as the legendary talk show closes off its last season, with photographs showing the former First Lady enjoying a nude art class with the talk show presenter.
Michelle Obama appeared on Ellen for the 11th time on Tuesday, April 19, on one of the show's final episodes before rejoining her former co-host for the final time in May. Stills from the episode, which were posted before its airing, showed the former First Lady smiling as she spent time with one of the show's regulars, who have become close friends with her over the years. The photographs, which were shot on March 7, show Ellen and Michelle hugging it out, capping off her 11th visit on the talk show, which debuted in 2003. Over the course of 19 seasons, The Ellen DeGeneres Show has aired over 3,200 episodes and won 64 Daytime Emmy Awards. Ellen is departing the talk show circuit, with the final program airing on Thursday, May 26, 2022. "When you’re a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged — and as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore," DeGeneres informed The Hollywood Reporter.

First Lady will be on the final show, along with many other returning guests. She'll have been on the program a dozen times by the time it finishes in May. Michelle and Ellen competed in a push-up challenge on her debut visit on the show in 2012, with Ellen barely reaching 20 while the former First Lady surged ahead. Michelle and Ellen competed in a dance-off in 2015, performing to Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk.'
A year later, she became Ellen's first co-anchor, co-hosting the show for two episodes during season 14. According to Hola, Michelle's presidential limousine was pulled due to a mix-up with guest credentials. Michelle appeared in 2018 to honor Ellen's 60th birthday, and she returned for seasons 18 and 19. Following the publication of her memoir 'Becoming' in 2018, Ellen promoted the book on her show while Michelle conducted singing competitions. The show is coming to an end following a workplace culture scandal that resulted in the termination of three producers from the Ellen DeGeneres Show. The show, which aired for 19 years, was dogged by allegations of a terrible work atmosphere, which Ellen said in an interview with Today she "didn't understand."
"I still don't understand it. I thought something was going on that... because it was too orchestrated. It was too coordinated," she said to Mail Online. In an internal probe, the producer, Warner Bros, discovered "deficiencies related to the show's day-to-day management in an internal investigation."
The last episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show will be broadcast on NBC on May 26.
