MARTINEZ, ARGENTINA: Michael Buble's sister-in-law sustained life-threatening spinal injuries following a horrific car accident in an Argentinian suburb on Wednesday, August 17. Popular nutritionist Daniela Lopilato was rushed to the hospital after her car flipped and ended up on its roof when another vehicle rammed into hers from behind.

The mother-of-two suffered neck and spinal injuries before she was freed by firefighters from the accident wreckage in a suburb of the Buenos Aires province called Martinez. Shocking photos from the scene of the crash showed the 43-year-old influencer's car overturned near a lamp post on a residential street.

Michael Buble death threats: How an 'innocent' elbow to wife Luisana Lopilato led to a maelstrom of hate

Speaking to Argentinian journalists, Daniela said she felt "God gave her a second opportunity." The nearly fatal incident came as Luisana, the victim's younger sister and Michael's wife, is just days away from having her fourth child with the Canadian-born singer.

"The images you're seeing now are terrible and the protagonist is Daniela Lopilato," Argentinian journalist Pia Shaw said on a local TV broadcast which showed images from the crash scene. "She was admitted to Los Arcos Hospital in Buenos Aires but is back at home now. The car you see on its roof is Daniela's. This happened in the Martinez area. Another driver hit Daniela's car from behind. It was a pretty violent collision. She hurt her neck and back and couldn't get out of the car and was really scared. Firefighters were mobilized to assist her." Shaw added, "The other driver stopped and handed over all their details. I spoke with Daniela a short while ago after she was allowed to leave hospital and she told me she was just waking up to the fact God had given her a second opportunity. She feels she's alive thanks to God. She's okay but she's been through a traumatic experience and she's still shaken up about it."

Michael has three children with Luisana, 35, namely sons Noah, 9, Elias, 6, and daughter Vida, 4. The celebrity couple is now expecting their fourth child. Reports of Luisana's pregnancy emerged in February when she was featured in his music video for 'I'll Never Not Love You', in which the actress was seen pulling her husband out of a dream sequence with her growing baby bump on full display.

HONEYMOON KILLER Bradley Dawson confessed to killing Christe Chen, only to later claim she was ALIVE when he left

Michael admitted in April this year that he was feeling "unstable and vulnerable" as Noah battled hepatoblastoma — a form of liver cancer — that he was diagnosed with in 2016 at just three years of age. The boy has since bravely undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy as his star father put his career on standby to focus on his treatment. The singer eventually said he was ready to get back to his craft considering his son, now eight, was in remission.

The embattled father was still overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty after his son initially went into remission. "I've been through a lot, obviously," he told The Mirror. "When I made the last record [in 2018], my son had just been in remission and I wasn't ready to come back," he explained. "I didn't know that at the time but, mentally, I was so unstable and vulnerable. I made a safe record with producers I liked and I just tried to protect myself and hold on to a career." He added, "But I feel really good now and I was raring to go — like this great weight had been lifted off me. My son was healthy, and my kids and my wife were good. Life is good. Why wouldn't I just explode wanting to make an incredible record?"
