Melania won't visit Trump and expose secret service to Covid-19, Internet jokes she's avoiding 'orange covidiot'

FLOTUS would not leave her White House isolation as 'she has Covid' and it 'would expose the agents who would drive her there and the medical staff who would walk her up to him'

While her husband President Donald Trump was heavily criticized after he decided to briefly venture out of the Walter Reed Military Medical Center, where he is currently admitted after testing positive for coronavirus, just to greet his supporters who had gathered outside of the hospital to wish him a speedy recovery, First Lady Melania Trump decided to do the sensible thing and isolate herself in the White House and even refused to visit the POTUS to limit potentially exposing the secret service to the disease.

A White House official told NBC News' Peter Alexander that the FLOTUS would not leave her isolation in the White House residence to visit her husband because "she has COVID" and "that would expose the agents who would drive her there and the medical staff who would walk her up to him." The report came after Trump was seen wearing a mask and seated inside a black SUV as he waved at fans outside the medical facility during a drive-by. As NPR reported, other images showed Secret Service agents inside the vehicle with personal protective gear on.

Before his visit, he tweeted a video thanking the doctors and staff at Walter Reed for treating him for Covid-19 and said he also announced that he was about to "make a little surprise visit" outside to greet supporters. “We're going to pay a little surprise to some of the great patriots that we have out on the street, and they've been out there for a long time and they've got Trump flags and they love our country,” Trump said.

Dr. James Phillips, chief of disaster medicine at George Washington University, criticized POTUS’ decision of drive-by and wrote on Twitter: “Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential “drive-by” just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die. For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater. This is insanity.”

After Melania's responsible behavior was all over the news, Ashton Pittman, a reporter for MS Free Press, echoed what was going on through everyone's mind. "Let me get this straight: WH says Melania is not visiting Donald because she does not want to expose Secret Service agents to #COVID19. Meanwhile, Donald made Secret Service potentially expose themselves and put their lives at risk to give him a joyride around Walter Reed," he wrote.

Soon a number of people started reacting to this. "Does his evil still surprise you??" while another seemed convinced that Melania's concern for the Secret Service was simply a cover for her not wanting to see her husband. "She doesn’t give two f**ks about the secret service. It’s a cover for the real issue at hand. She doesn’t wanna see the orange covidiot" the user wrote.

A third was reminded of one of the leaked tapes where a frustrated Melania is heard making controversial comments about Christmas and migrant children. "Don't forget Melania has to save her energy so she can plan all those f**king Christmas decorations," the user commented, alluding to the tapes which came out shortly before she was diagnosed with COVID-19.
