First lady Melania Trump looked stylish in a rust coat and high heels as she attended a Halloween event with President Donald Trump at the White House. The former model made her first public appearance on October 25 days after being diagnosed with coronavirus. For the early Halloween celebration, Melania donned the burnt orange coat with long sleeves and oversized orange buttons down the front ideal for the Autumn season. Her outfit also included large pockets on either side. The first lady was buttoned up to the top in the coat but left her legs bare. As she walked with the POTUS, a brown leather pencil skirt was visible, which she wore beneath the coat that had a slight slit towards the bottom.

To complete her look, Melania chose a pair of brown leather closed-toe heels with the outfit. The footwear that had a stiletto high heel seemed to be Christian Louboutin pumps, which is priced at around $711 (£545). The mother-of-one did not do anything special for her hair as he carried them in her usual way while wearing a glamorous make-up look with a dark smokey eye and nude lip gloss. On the other hand, her husband carried himself in his signature style, donning a classic white shirt and red tie combination. Completing his look was a tailored black coat which was buttoned up at the front.

For the function, the official residence of the president was decorated with leaves and pumpkins. Also, a huge “Halloween 2020” sign was hanged from the South Portico balcony. But this year’s celebration was a bit different from previous years due to the Covid-19. This time, instead of Melania giving bags of treats to children, kids themselves had to pick their own. The guest list only included frontline workers, military families, and schoolchildren. The event saw two children - a boy and a girl - dressed as Melania and Donald. Both the mini-doppelgangers wore face masks, unlike the real ones.

NBC’s Kelly O'Donnell tweeted, “Tradition at the White House. Tonight is the annual Halloween party. The president returned from the campaign trail and within minutes joined @FLOTUS to meet the ghosts and goblins. Many from military and first responders’ families.” But people on Twitter were more interested in Melania’s look than the event, more in a negative sense, as one commented, “She's as orange as he is. Were they going as matching pumpkins? Jill and Jack O'Lantern? Does this mean we get to throw them away once Halloween is over because they're all moldy inside?” “Another one said: “Donald and Melania will be in their traditional Halloween costumes - as themselves.”

“Did she have another facelift or is that what she really looks like when she smiles?” said the third user while the fourth one added: “This does not look anything like Melania, what is going on? Do you know who this is? Is anyone questioning or investigating this?”

Many on social media also slammed the pair for not wearing a face covering. One such user wrote, "Hey, heard Trump and Melania are holding a HALLOWEEN Superspreader event today for children at the White House. Maybe they should get busy finding the 545 children's parents they kidnapped?" The second user added: "So she didnt go to rally as shes still recovering from Covid-19, but its ok to let children come to covid-infested white house... Is That Correct..."
