Melania mocked for revising prenup as 'broke' Trump didn't pay tax for 10 years: 'Nothing left for her payout'

After The New York Times published a bombshell piece on President Donald Trump's tax returns which basically stated that the POTUS couldn't pay income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years, Twitter users started mocking his wife, Melania Trump, suggesting that it was unlikely that she was going to get any amount of settlement out of her prenup which she reportedly renegotiated before moving into the White House.

Immediately after the NYT's report, #BeBroke started trending on Twitter as people took the report to mean that "billionaire" Trump had gone broke. We had previously reported that according to a book, 'The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump' by Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post reporter Mary Jordan, Melania had the prenup reworked and only then agreed to move into the White House after Trump became the president. Trump's infidelities and news about the same from various social media accounts also reportedly affected the first lady, who needed some time to "cool off", the book claims. Trump's affair with Playboy playmate Karen McDougal and his "grab them by the p****" comment did not sit well with his wife either.

In the book, Jordan wrote, "She wanted proof in writing that when it came to financial opportunities and inheritance, Barron would be treated as more of an equal to Trump's oldest three children." Barron was 10 when Trump was elected POTUS. Melania had only moved into the White House in June 2017, around six months after Trump took the oath of office. It is said she had used that time to renegotiate her prenup agreement. After the recent NYT report stated that in 2016 and 2017, Trump paid only $750 in federal taxes despite claiming to be a billionaire as his Washington DC hotel lost $55.5 million while his golf courses reported losses of at least $315.6 million, people took to Twitter to troll the FLOTUS, suggesting that she wasted her energy renegotiate her prenup as her husband was too broke to pay her the undisclosed amount agreed in the contract as he was unable to even pay taxes for a decade.

"Does this mean Melania now knows she is off the hook? Nothing left for her prenup payout. Time for her to be a whistleblower!!!" one person wrote, while another commented, "Melania found out he has no money to pay on that prenup." A third remarked: "Melania is one news cycle away from taking a chainsaw to the Rose Garden shrubs." A fourth quipped, "Poor Melania...from 'Be Best' to 'Be Broke' in the blink of an...I...R...S... So much for getting anything out of Donald via that divorce settlement. President of the United Scrubs blew what little wad he had on Stormy Daniels." A fifth wrote, "Melania spotted leaving the White House after reading NY Times article."

A sixth added, "She's going to be pissed." A seventh said, "Wait till Melania finds out how much money Trump doesn’t have. Do prenups get dibs in bankruptcy court?" An eighth opined, "Sad that Melania is worth more than Trump and will have to pay him half when they finally get divorced."
