While her husband battles an impeachment inquiry, an unfazed Melania Trump kicked off her two-day Wyoming trip on Thursday by rafting down Snake River with a group of Boy Scouts in the afternoon as part of her Be Best campaign. The first lady was dressed casually in black jeans, a turtleneck sweater and a puffer jacket for the day. After arriving in Jackson, she spent 20 minutes greeting the uniformed scouts and smiling for pictures.

Before Melania headed off to join a group of fourth-graders rafting down the river which boasts of having the Teton Range as a beautiful backdrop, she was greeted by hundreds of residents of the town lining the sidewalks of the streets to catch a glimpse of the first lady.

A video of Melania's trip was posted on the official Facebook page of the FLOTUS by the White House. In the one-minute clip, Melania could be seen enjoying the natural landscape, as she chatted with the boy scouts, and pointed out different scenic views. With temperatures hovering around 40 Fahrenheit, the first lady was seen trying to stay warm in the chilly Wyoming weather by clutching a travel coffee mug during the trip.

Melania is scheduled to visit Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks next to promote her Be Best campaign, which the White House said, was focused on spreading the child well-being message. Apart from the well-being of children, the program included raising awareness about online safety, and combating opioid abuse.

Last month, the POTUS highlighted the importance of his wife's work on addiction issues, which he said was partially inspired by their 13-year-old son Barron.

"She has a son that she loves, and she wants to make sure that Barron doesn't have problems, and she wants to make sure a lot of people in this country see the suffering, the horrible suffering," he said.
