First lady Melania Trump has revealed that she is feeling good and continuing to rest at home in an update on her health Monday, just days after she tested positive for COVID-19. “My family is grateful for all of the prayers & support! I am feeling good & will continue to rest at home,” the 50-year-old former model tweeted. “Thank you to medical staff & caretakers everywhere, & my continued prayers for those who are ill or have a family member impacted by the virus,” she added.

Melania has been quarantining at the White House after both she and her husband President Donald Trump tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday evening and began experiencing symptoms. The POTUS was taken to Walter Reed Medical Center Friday afternoon as a precaution owing to his age at 74 years old. He has since been sharing video updates on his health from the hospital and could be discharged as early as Monday. Physicians monitoring his condition are satisfied with the recovery he has made, the New York Post reported.

Yesterday, Trump was seen wearing a mask and seated inside a black SUV as he waved at fans outside the medical facility during a drive-by. As NPR reported, other images showed Secret Service agents inside the vehicle with personal protective gear on. Before his visit, he tweeted a video thanking the doctors and staff at Walter Reed for treating him for Covid-19 and said he also announced that he was about to "make a little surprise visit" outside to greet supporters. “We're going to pay a little surprise to some of the great patriots that we have out on the street, and they've been out there for a long time and they've got Trump flags and they love our country,” Trump said.

He also said in the video, “I learned a lot about Covid. I learned it by really going to school. This is the real school. This isn’t the ‘let’s-read-the-book’ school. I get it and I understand it. And, it’s very interesting thing and I’m going to letting you know about it. In the meantime, we love the USA and we love what's happening.”

Meanwhile, a number of people in the president's inner circle have tested positive for the deadly contagion, including former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, former New Jersey governor Chris Christie, and Trump 2020 campaign manager, Bill Stepien.

That said, no sooner did the first lady share the positive update, than anti-Trump netizens lashed out at her. Some even brought up recently leaked tapes that saw her comment on White House Christmas decorations and migrant children at the border. "I hope you and your husband fully recover from your self-inflicted wounds so that we can vote you out and prosecute you. His limousine photo op proves he's a sociopath and you've used him to have privilege most of the world will never have. You're a disgrace," anti-Trump author John Pavlovitz responded.

"Just a reminder that before Trump’s COVID diagnosis- Melania was on tape swearing and complaining about Christmas and the bad press of children in cages at the border. Kimberly Guilfoyle was being investigated for sexual harassment, and Ivanka was implicated in tax fraud," anti-Trump writer Shari Lynn added.

"Well, at least Melania won’t need to give a f*ck about decorating the White House this Christmas," actor George Takei chimed in.

"Life was simpler when it was just Melania hating on Christmas and immigrants kids. #BeBest!" broadcaster Soledad O'Brien tweeted.
