Melania Trump hails American 'love and patriotism' in emotional farewell speech, Internet calls her an 'inspiration'

'As Donald and I conclude our time in the White House, I think of all the people I have taken home in my heart and their incredible stories of love, patriotism and determination,' she said

The First Lady of the United States garnered quite the buzz on Twitter with her farewell speech. While there were comments, both positive and negative slamming Melania Trump, there was concrete evidence that she gained a lot of respect from her message. "I have been inspired by incredible Americans across our country who lift up our communities through their kindness and courage, goodness and grace," she said in her speech.

"As Donald and I conclude our time in the White House, I think of all the people I have taken home in my heart and their incredible stories of love, patriotism, and determination." Needless to say, Melania's supporters were all praise. "The beautiful 1st Lady always represents herself as an inspiration to all. Thank you for your service to our country and the President of the USA. Looking forward to seeing more of you in the many years to come!" read one of the tweets.

This was seconded by another tweet that read: "Thank you First Lady, MrsTrump for being the best First Lady that you could. It’s sad to see that President Trump lost the election but he will always be remembered as another great president of the United States."

Melania was called "gracious". One of the tweets read: "The best! Beautiful and Gracious Melania Trump Publishes Farewell Message After Her Four Years of Abuse as America's Most Elegant First Lady via @gatewaypundit." Some called the farewell emotional.

In the speech that lasted almost seven minutes, Melania thanked the military for their services. "I see the faces of brave young soldiers who have told me with pride in their eyes how much they love serving this country. To every service member and to our incredible military families: You are heroes, and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers."

She also said: "As the world continues to confront the Covid-19 pandemic, I thank all the nurses, doctors, healthcare professionals, manufacturing workers, truck drivers, and so many others who are working to save lives. We grieve for the families who have lost a loved one due to the pandemic. Every life is precious, and I ask all Americans to use caution and common sense to protect the vulnerable as millions of vaccines are now being delivered."
