'She's the real FLOTUS': Melania fans rush to defend her as she's slammed for supporting Trump's 2024 run

Previously there were reports that Melania was not happy with Donald Trump's decision but her fans want to see her in the White House again

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Right after the wedding of her daughter Tiffany Trump, former President Donald Trump announced his entry into the 2024 presidential race on Tuesday, November 15. His enthusiastic announcement comes after a disastrous midterm elections result in which many of the high-profile candidates that he endorsed lost. Through all the ups and downs, he was accompanied by Melania Trump, the former First Lady. Fans rushed to defend her after many online trolls spewed vitriol at her for supporting Trump in his re-election bid. 

Earlier, there had been reports that the 52-year-old former model was not content with Donald Trump's decision to run for president in 2024. Biographer Kate Bennett also revealed that Melania did not like being connected to her husband's rants, or being roasted by the media. So she would understandably be unhappy about his decision to run for President again. The writer also revealed that she had no "intention of being on the campaign trail." However, one family adviser had told Politico that, "If he (Donald Trump) runs, she (Melania Trump) will be right there,” in September 2021, last year. “She’s not going to have her own rallies. But did she ever?" the adviser added. And sure enough, when Trump made the official announcement on November 15, Melania seemed supportive.

Fans protect Melania Trump from trolling memes

Melania was slammed online by people for supporting Trump as one user wrote, "Says a lot for Melania Trump that she's signed up for the punishment again, considering how nastily she was treated by the media - and the FBI, which raided her closet. She's all smiles tonight. Bowie playing "We can be heroes" as the former First Couple glad-hand the crowd" One more user tweeted, "No sympathy for Melania, Jared or Ivanka. The media keeps repeating that they don’t want to campaign with Trump etc. Too bad.. so sad. They are ALL complicit & they’ve got another thing coming if they think they can ever be normalized again. Not here. Now now. Not ever."

However, there was a wave of supporters who rushed to Melania's defence and one even called her the best FLOTUS. One user replied to the negative comments and wrote, "That's what a real woman does, support the love of her life, for better for worse in hard times and good times, unlike most women now a days who lack such grace, intelligence and character" Another user commented, "Hmm your jealousy is showing! She is the real FLOTUS. Green with Envy is a great color , it matches your heart" 

One more user tweeted, "She is a stunning woman but should not be thought of as "weak" or "fragile." An immigrant, she was a model in a TOUGH industry, created her own business, & has a broader & deeper understanding of the world than most 1st ladies. Also, she's been married to the Don for years!!" One more user defended Melania Trump and wrote, "Melania is as tough as nails. Now that’s a very strong woman. A true power couple !"

One Melania fan tweeted, "Trump's campaign will take its course. One of the benefits is we'll see and hear more of Melania. She was one of the four or five best First Ladies in U.S. history and was treated shabbily by big media. Hope we see her a lot on the campaign trail." Another user wrote, "Trumps bringing back the most beautiful first lady ever! Melania 2024"
