At the Democratic National Speech, which is taking place on Monday, August 17, former first lady Michelle Obama will be describing Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden as a "profoundly decent man" during her keynote address, according to the excerpts released by the party.

Michelle is seen saying, "I know Joe. He is a profoundly decent man guided by faith. He was a terrific vice president. He knows what it takes to rescue an economy, beat back a pandemic and lead our country." While people are eagerly waiting to witness her entire speech, Internet users used the opportunity to dig up the first lady Melania Trump's speech from the 2016 Republic National Convention, which came under fire after people speculated that she had "plagiarized" Michelle's speech from when Barack Obama was elected as the president.

Melania's speech went viral as people started drawing a comparison between the two speeches and remarked that a small portion of Melania's speech was remarkably similar to that of Michelle's. While Michelle stated, "Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you're going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don't know them, and even if you don't agree with them."

A section of Melania's speech read, "From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise, that you treat people with respect." However, Donald Trump's then-senior communications adviser, Jason Miller, had issued a statement prior to Melania's speech that their team of writers "took notes on her life's inspirations, and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking".

As the Democratic National Convention commences on Monday, Internet users surfaced on Twitter to mock Melania ahead of Michelle's speech, saying the first lady would once again "steal" the latter's words. One Twitter user wrote, "It's important that Michelle Obama gives her speech tonight so that Melania can shamelessly steal it in the Republican Convention."

Noting the comparison between Michelle and Melania's precious speeches one user wrote "I guess @MELANIATRUMP will be taking copious notes tonight when @MichelleObama speaks because y’all remember when Melania plagiarized Michelle Obama’s speech, right?" Adding to this another tweeted, "Melania Trump has her notepad and pen ready and waiting for Michelle Obama's speech."

Meanwhile, a few of them have said that they are watching the Democratic Love Convention only for Michelle Obama and to hear what she has to say in favor of the Democratic Party. One excited viewer tweeted, "Michelle obama is the final act aka the best one or most entertaining for me to listen to."

One added, "Excited to hear from Former First Lady Michelle Obama at the #demconvention, Thank you for always reminding us that when they go low, we go high."
