Melania slammed for 'back to school' tweet despite touting CDC guidelines: 'Has Barron gone back to his?'

Melania Trump's 'Back To School' tweet was met with a lot of criticisms as people questioned the first lady's endorsement of her husband's push to open the schools amid the coronavirus pandemic. "Whether you’re going #BacktoSchool in person or remotely, let’s remember to practice @CDCgov guidelines. Thanks to our teachers & parents for your dedication to the well-being of our children to make this school year a success. #BeBest'' the fist lady tweeted on Wednesday, September 9.

The comments section was soon filled with angry social media users slamming Melania's tweet. Many of the critics also urged Melania to send her own son, Barron Trump, back to school in person following the CDC guidelines that she touted in her tweet before advising teachers and parents to follow in the footsteps. Here are a few of the reactions:
''1. Then why does your husband press reporters to remove their protective masks? 2. As Donald demands schools open completely, has Barron gone back to his?''

''Be best how ironic you have a husband who is the worst. It’s not just boy talk he’s despicable the way he talks about the military. You should be utterly ashamed.''

''Send Barron to public schools with @CDCgov guidelines.''
''Thanks to ZERO federal leadership my county is involved in a lawsuit. Local school board and officials want control of determining when it’s safe for students and staff to return vs Iowa governor’s interpretation of a law. Teachers plan one way and told to plan another way.''

''When this is all over, it’s going to be quite interesting to hear your story. What in the world you were thinking with these alternate reality tweets? Are you mocking us, mocking the job, or completely delusional?''

However, not everyone seemed to be unimpressed with Melania's tweet as a handful praised her for the work she was doing for the children with her Be Best campaign. "Thank You Melanie for Al that You Do!!! You Are a Great Role model for Many Americans!! God Bless You, keep doing Great things!!" one wrote.

We previously reported that Melania got slammed for commemorating Labor Day this year with a tweet that appreciated the hard work being put in by Americans even in such "unprecedented times."
"This #LaborDay, we recognize & celebrate the hard-working American workforce. Thank you for all you have done to keep our country moving, even in the most unprecedented times," she tweeted, attaching the official White House proclamation marking the occasion and was immediately met with a barrage of negative reactions from people who questioned the kind of work she put in from her side to help her husband run the country.
