Melania Trump was seen stepping out with a warm smile in what will be her last Christmas in the White House as the first lady of the United States. She posed next to a majestic Christmas tree amid decorating the Trump residence for what seems to be their last holiday season in the official building. Neither President Donald Trump nor her son Barron was seen at this outing.
Two Clydesdales horses - Winston and Ben, trotted up the north driveway with a wagon in tow to deliver the tree to Melania. The 18 foot tall Fraser Fir from West Virginia will be decorated and displayed in the Blue Room of the White House for this holiday season. The First Lady was seen sporting a black and white checkered Balenciaga coat, black gloves and black high knee boots, as she walked around the wagon to examine the tree. Her coat was a double-breasted, three-quarter length coat with a cowl neck and a loose fit. She chose to accessorize the outfit with a pair of black leather gloves, Footwearnews reports.
The entire outfit and look was a shoutout to Balenciaga's spring '18 collection. Her black high knee boots had a thin heel which seemed to be around 4 inches in height. After she finished her walk around she smiled and waved and said 'Merry Christmas'. However, she was not seen sporting a face mask for her short outdoor event. As Melania arrived for the event, a military band played popular holiday tunes like 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing' and 'Oh Christmas Tree'. During the short event, she wished the reporters present a 'Merry Christmas' but did not respond when she was asked about how the POTUS was doing.
One day before the tree arrived, Melania shared pictures from previous years on Twitter and said, "Since 1966, the arrival of the White House Christmas Tree has become an iconic holiday tradition. This year’s tree, a lovely 18 1/2 foot Fraser Fir from Dan and Bryan Trees of West Virginia, will arrive tomorrow at the @WhiteHouse North Portico. #WHChristmas."
She had also shared a tweet which read, "Each year the arrival of the #WHChristmas tree brings a spirit of holiday warmth & tradition to the @WhiteHouse. This year’s tree will continue to bring joy to those who will pass through the halls of the White House during this most wonderful time of the year."

Her Christmas celebration event and arrival of the tree comes after her former friend and employee Stephanie Winston Wolkoff had released a recording which shows Melania complaining about the holiday. In the recording, Melania can be heard saying, "who gives a f*** about Christmas stuff" when discussing the traditional first lady task of decorating the executive mansion.
Many social media users commented on FLOTUS' recent tweets about the holiday and referred to her comments made on the tape. One such user shared, "You don't have to pretend you like Christmas anymore. Michigan certified the election so you can start packing. Although I hear there's a problem with you using Mar-a-Lago as a personal residence. Have your hubby concede & direct attention there."
Another wrote, "What’s stupid is that she knew we were all going to call her out for the recorded conversation where she stated she hates Christmas. Yet she still posted this drivel. Done in typical Trump fashion."
"Hahahahahah we know how you really feel. It is on tape. hahahahahahahaha," commented another user who echoed the same sentiments.
