#MelaniaTapes: Did Melania Trump say 'who gives a f*ck about Christmas stuff'? Internet mocks 'lizard lady'

It's been months since the Melania Tapes came to light along with a storm of several "White House revelations" and details of her relationship with husband Donald Trump. Now, according to the latest revelation, the first lady was also recorded saying, "Who gives a f*ck about Christmas stuff?" The statement comes from a secretly taped conversation from July 2018 between Melania Trump and her former top aide and friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who recorded several profanity-laced comments made by the first lady.

The audio first came into the public eye on October 1, 2020, on the CNN primetime program 'Anderson Cooper 360'. Cooper introduced Wolkoff as Melanias's “former best friend”, and The New York Times recognized Wolkoff as one of her “close confidants”.  In the tape Melania can be heard saying, "They say I’m complicit, I’m the same like him, I support him. I don’t say enough. I don’t do enough. Where I am. I put — I’m working like an ass — my a*s off at Christmas stuff that, you know, who gives a f*ck about Christmas stuff and decoration, but I need to do it right?" To which Wolkoff replied saying, "100%, you had no choice." Melania further says, "And OK. And then I do it. And I said I’m working on Christmas planning for Christmas. And they said, oh, what about the children, that they were separated. Give me a f*cking break. Where they were saying anything when Obama did that?"

Towards the end of the clip, she also said, "You would not believe it. They would not do the story. Because they are not — they would not do the story because they are against us because they’re liberal media. Yeah, if I go to Fox, they will do the story, I don’t want to go to Fox."

From the conversation, it appeared that Melania wished she could focus on more critical duties, including purportedly wishing to reunite a mother and child that may have been separated at the U.S.-Mexico border. At the time, the Trump administration was under investigation for its practice of separating families at that border with no clear plan for reuniting them. (More than two years later in October 2020, hundreds of such children had still not been reunited with their parents.)

As soon as these statements came in light, people started reacting to it, as one Internet user said, "A match made in Heaven" While another one wrote, "Tell Melania don't bother with White House Christmas decorations this year.. I mean "who gives a f*ck about the Christmas stuff and decorations..""

While another one wrote, "Melania LIZARD LADY. Melania hates Christmas but loves money and doesn't care who or how many dies" While another one made fun of POTUS and FLOTUS's loss and said, "Anyone else excited to see Melania’s “F’ing Christmas” decorations (desecrations) this year??  @FLOTUS" Another one prayed, "Dear God: please do not let Melania decorate the White House for Christmas. Remember she said F Christmas. Thank you." Another one joked, "Translation: Melania agrees to massacre Christmas in the White House one last time."
