Megyn Kelly says anti-Trump networks such as CNN partly responsible for Capitol riots, dubbed 'dragon queen of Karens'

'Megyn Kelly reminding you that when the President lies 100s of times and encourages rejection of certified democracy that it's logical to blame the media for their bias against liars,' said Comedian John Fugelsang

Attorney Megyn Kelly reveals that she believes that media outlets were partially to blame for the riot at the Capitol, which took place on January 6, 2021, because they “checked their objectivity” when covering Donald Trump.

“They hated him so much, they checked their objectivity, and it wasn’t just CNN. All of them did. They just couldn’t check their own personal feelings about him,” Kelly said in a recent interview with BBC Newsnight. The former Fox News anchor then stated that “too many” journalists followed the “Jorge Ramos theory of covering Trump” by describing his behavior as racist, sexist and misogynistic.

“He advocated, prior to Trump’s election, that we needed to cover him differently, that you needed to outwardly call him a racist, sexist, misogynist, all of it, and that that was important for history. And I think too many journalists agreed with that at their own peril,” Kelly said. “Part of the reason that we saw what happened on the Capitol here, two weeks ago, was because there’s been a complete lack of trust, destruction of trust in the media and people don’t know where to turn for true information. They don’t trust the media anymore, and it’s a major problem.”

As soon as her comments made their way to social media, people started slamming her. One Internet user said: "Reminder that Megyn Kelly was fired from NBC for racism, that she's not a journalist and that none of what she says here in her counterfactual pro-Trump narrative is true. Just stop trying to make Trump and his white nationalist cohort into victims." Comedian John Fugelsang said: "Megyn Kelly reminding you that when the President lies 100s of times and encourages rejection of certified democracy that it's logical to blame the media for their bias against liars."

One person said: "Megyn Kelly thinks that the media was unfair to Donald Trump. I never saw them discuss the rape suit filed by a then-13-year-old girl. They let lie after lie go unchallenged or echoed in headlines. The coverage was unfair, for sure – in the opposite direction." Soon, more and more people started slamming her. Another one commanded, "Someone should tell Megyn Kelly to shut up and sit down." Making a comparison, one person said, "Megyn Kelly is the dragon queen of Karens."

In 2018, Kelly's show, 'Megyn Kelly Today' was officially canceled by NBC Later, reports confirmed that Kelly’s show has been canceled, which was also reported by NPR. It has also been reported that Kelly’s talent managers at Creative Arts Agency (CAA) have dropped her as a client.

The announcement, hardly shocking, comes after a panel segment about Halloween costumes and political correctness, Kelly had professed casual indignation that there are “rules” these days about who can dress as whom. “You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween,” she said, adding that it was “O.K.” when she was a kid. Later after the segment was aired, Kelly tried her hand at an apology, but, as tears struggled to surface in her eyes, her speech quickly broke down into a paean to “reverse racism.” She was nof only fired but also faced severe backlash on social media.
