According to authorities, a teenage girl was savagely attacked by two other girls, one of whom was her best friend. Her alleged "bestie" lured her to a Texas park late at night where she and another fellow classmate beat her up. A third girl recorded the brutal activity on Snapchat and posted it.

What prompted the attack?
Maya Tremillo was attacked by the other kids at her high school in Clifton, about 35 miles northwest of Waco, because of a quarrel over a boy, her distressed mother said. Vestal, Tremillo's best friend, asked Tremillo to bring back some shoes she had borrowed. Local authorities stated that when Tremillo arrived at the park and approached Vestal's automobile, she was attacked by Walker, who was exiting the vehicle.
How was the attack carried out?
Tremillo’s mother, Julie Kross, in an interview with The Sun, said: “[Walker] jumped out of the car and the other girl that was filming her also jumped out of the car with her phone, and then [Walker] started yelling at Maya” She added, “Maya turned away to go back to her car and [Walker] hit her in the back of the head and just jumped on her and started beating her.” Julie Kross also revealed that Walker has been cyberbullying Tremillo and so the night before the attack, they filed a case against her. Could this be another reason behind the brutal attack?
Cyberbullying
Julie Kross also spoke about the cyberbullying at length, stating: “They were threatening to beat her up and said 'you better watch your back, we're gonna kick your ass.’” Julie Kross added, “It scared her and it scared me so we filed a police report.” But, the police reportedly told Tremillo and her mother that since there was no evidence of the cyberbullying, they couldn’t take action regarding the online harassment. But, during the attack, Walker told Tremillo to “go file a report on that now.”
How is Tremillo now?
Tremillo was found at the park and transferred to a local hospital, where she was treated for a sprained ankle and a concussion, according to Kross. Kross said that Tremillo is having a tough time coming to grips with what happened. Kross said, "She's obviously very traumatized, very depressed and I'm really worried about her emotionally,” adding, “[Maya] is constantly looking over her shoulder and jumps when a car drives by. Physically, she's gonna heal, but I know the emotional things are gonna take longer.”
Assailants out on conditional bond
Despite the fact that the two attackers have yet to be sentenced, Kross expressed hope that Walker's anger issues will be addressed through counseling. Both Walker and Vestal have been freed on a conditional bond that has not yet been made public. Clifton High School, which all three girls attend, said it will decide on appropriate disciplinary steps against the juveniles soon and will also address the situation with individuals who witnessed the altercation.
