Is Heavenly Kimes not a doctor? 'Married to Medicine' star Contessa shades her for holding party amid pandemic
Pick any second of any Bravo show and you'll get a good fix of drama, no doubt. 'Married to Medicine' is no different especially when the ladies decide to get together under one roof. Fireworks alert! Dr Heavenly Kimes decided to throw a party in honor of her husband Dr Damon Kimes's 50th birthday. She had hired decorators and catering people to make the day special for her SO and guests for the evening.
Even though there were temperature checks at the entrance and masks were on, Dr Contessa Metcalfe thought it was not sufficient to keep the Covid-19 spread in check. In her confessional, she said: "She’s a dentist she wouldn’t know." While it may have been said in jest, Heavenly may not take it well when she sees the episode. She takes her job very seriously and is extremely successful at it. But this kind of shading has been recurrent.

In the coming episodes, we see a new cast member, Anila Sajja, shade Heavenly too. Same topic but Anila's was more of a repercussion. Anila recalled how Heavenly had asked if blogging was a real job and retorted with: "Anyone can be a dentist."
Meanwhile, fans are not in agreement with Contessa's joke. Some even pointed out that it was done in bad taste and it was not fair to reduce someone's hard work in that manner. "That was rude of Contessa to say she's a dentist, she wouldn't know. How dare she diminish how hard heavinly has worked, and how much she has accomplished. That was a gross statement," a fan commented, while another shared: "Ohh the shade Contessa!! “She’s a dentist so she wouldn’t know”."
"As much as I can’t stand @Dr_Heavenly...I didn’t appreciate @drcontessamd (a fellow Black woman) minimizing Heavenly’s profession as a Dentist. #Married2Med," one user tweeted. "I really despise how they treat dr heavenly like a dentist ain’t a damn doctor as if that’s not a doctor that EVERYONE needs," a fan expressed.
"They always tryna minimize Heavenly being a dentist. That woman does the damn thing. She literally flew a woman to Atlanta to fix her teeth after they got knocked out during a protest," one user pointed out.
