Mark Ruffalo stuns Welsh couple by gatecrashing their wedding ceremony in NYC's Central Park
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A Welsh couple was shocked when Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo 'gatecrashed' their New York wedding. The 'Hulk' actor spoke with Klaire Hodgson and Lynz Tanner, both 28 years old, immediately before their wedding ceremony in Central Park.
The Gwynedd couple chose to get married in the US when Klaire traveled to a seminar in San Francisco and later to an event in New York, where Lynz manages a bar. Mark Ruffalo, renowned for playing Dr Bruce Banner in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appeared out of nowhere and greeted everyone.

'He was absolutely lovely. He was so nice'
On what was already the finest day of their lives, the couple described it as a 'special' moment. Klaire, who is the Creative Director of Animated Technologies, stated to NorthWalesLive, "Lynz proposed to me last June and we'd gone through about a million different wedding ideas. I said "Why don't we get married in New York? This was a week before I was leaving for America. I told my parents and some family."
After some searching, the couple located a wedding official and made plans to meet with them for the ceremony. Before the ceremony began, Ruffalo "must have seen what was going on because he detoured over to us," Klaire remarked. "Everybody was on the phone call and all of a sudden this guy starts slowly walking over. He stopped and he's saying hello to us and we're saying, "Okay, you alright?"

"I think he was waiting for us to recognise him. I noticed he had a really nice camera and I was thinking oh, he must do photography. But I thought I can't know this guy. I'm in New York, I don't know anyone in New York. And she turns around just as he's walking away and said Oh my God! Mark Ruffalo! And then he turned round and was like "Hey!" He came back over then. He was absolutely lovely. He was so nice."
The star then posed for a photo, but Klaire said, "I had no idea what to do with my arms. Later he shook my hand about three times and said aww I'm so happy for you. He was so super-nice. He was just a regular guy." Looking back, Klaire said, "It was amazing that we got married in Central Park. It was so magical and the whole day was beautiful and then Mark Ruffalo turning up and being in pictures with us, it did make it extra special."
'For The Hulk to turn up was pretty cool'
Klaire had a Batman tattoo done on her leg two days prior to their wedding. The couple also wore Star Trek "communication" badges on their wedding suits, just like in the well-known movies where the characters may press them and appear to communicate with others aboard the starship Enterprise. “So for The Hulk to turn up was pretty cool!” Hodgson exclaimed. “Of all the people, of all the genres of film or TV or anything to have turned up to our nerdy wedding!” The couple has made the decision to skip their honeymoon. They claim that the time they spent in New York before their wedding served as their honeymoon.
