Sophia Bush, Mark Hamill join celebs slamming Trump as he tests Covid-19 positive, ask 'if he's sorry for lying'
The entertainment world has been reacting to the news that President Donald Trump and first lady Melania have tested positive for Covid-19. Trump went into quarantine immediately as the election is scheduled just 30 days away. Trump had taken to Twitter to make the announcement about him and Melania testing positive.
He had written on Twitter, "Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!" Melania took to Twitter, saying, "As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together."

The couple had been tested for the coronavirus on Thursday night, two days after Trump's debate with Joe Biden. Many celebrities have reacted to the news of POTUS and FLOTUS testing positive for the virus. Billy Eichner had taken to Twitter to write, "OH. MY. GOD." The director of 'Logan' and 'Indiana Jones 5' had shared a video of Trump's presidential rival Joe Biden wearing a face mask. Trump has been criticized in the past for playing down the importance of wearing a mask. During the first presidential debate on Tuesday, Trump had said, "I think masks are OK... I put a mask on when I think I need it." Former Stranger Things star Shannon Purser had taken to social media to share, "The fact that two most protected people in our country got COVID… like, they had every opportunity and resource needed to not get sick but science denial is a trip!"

The son of David Bowie, Duncan Jones, had shared, "How do germaphobic sociopaths tend to react to getting sick? If anyone with real psychological training has an answer, I’d be fascinated. If the universe already orbits their ego, what happens when they’re sick?" Mark Hamill had also chimed in on the news of POTUS and FLOTUS testing positive and had taken to Twitter to share, "If anything positive can come him testing positive, it would be his followers reevaluating their opinions. If they will now accept a lockdown, social distancing & mandatory mask-wearing, we could crush the virus like we should have from the start. #ButIAlsoBelieveInTheToothFairy."

I asked in semi-seriousness. If anyone with real psychological training has an answer, I’d be fascinated. If the universe already orbits their ego, what happens when they’re sick?

Actress and activist Sophia Bush echoed the sentiments of the others and commented saying, "Is it still a 'Democrat hoax?' Are you still going to mock people for wearing masks? Are you sorry for lying to the American people for months? I ask these b/c I assume you’ll get the best taxpayer-funded gov’t healthcare avail + genuinely hope you recover. But you owe us answers." Adam Rippon had also taken to social media to share, "TRUMP has the HOAX VIRUS. I AM SCREAMING OUT LOUD AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."

Reports suggest that Hicks, who serves as counselor to Trump had been in close proximity to POTUS and had traveled with him to a rally in Minnesota on September 30 after which she tested positive on Thursday, October 1.
