Meghan Markle was shocked when Mariah Carey called her out for her diva moments. The two female celebrities began talking about the lives they might have led on Tuesday's edition of Markle's new podcast Archetypes as the duchess revealed that she personally does not "connect" to the diva persona.
According to Page Six, Carey strongly objected to Meghan's comment about her attitude during their conversation, telling her, "You give us diva moments sometimes, Meghan. Don’t act like [you don’t].” The 'Suits' star was startled by her response and said, "What kind of diva moments did I give you?" Carey went on to say that she was talking to Meghan's visuals and not her personality when she called out Meghan for her diva moments.

Meanwhile, many on social media reacted to the ‘diva’ remark by Mariah Carey to Meghan Markle. Many however defended Meghan as one person wrote, “Women often call each other divas. Meghan exhaled a breath of relief when the interview was over and added, "She must have felt my nervous laughter, and … she jumped right in to make sure I was crystal clear that when she said diva, she was talking about the way I dress, the posture, the clothing." "She meant diva as a compliment, but I heard it as a dig. That moment, as she explained to me, she meant it as chic, as inspirational,” she added. Meghan also acknowledged squirming in her chair in a muted revolt after hearing the accusation before Carey clarified herself.
