Video shows quick-thinking criminal leap out of car and then casually pretend to be friends with stranger to evade cops
CORDOBA, ARGENTINA: A man smartly leaped from a speeding vehicle and performed a cunning ploy to flee from the police car chasing him. A surveillance video captured the guy getting off the running car and sprinting along a street after the car chase through a residential area. The man is then observed wrapping his arm around a random passerby and conversing with him while strolling along the street.
The cops can be seen speeding past in their police car moments later, fooled by the deception and still pursuing the silver getaway car. The officers disregard him, thinking he is only a random passerby witnessing the chase. The guy then bolts along the road after realizing he is safe. According to the local channel La Voz, the automobile pursuit apparently started after an incident in Cordoba's Manantiales neighborhood on the same day. A gunshot was fired due to an altercation between two neighborhood dads over a school-sponsored parking space. According to the paper's account of the altercation, the father who was shot by the other man intended to round up a corner and park his vehicle but could not do so because of a lack of parking space.
The father ironically told the other driver, "You parked well." Using his own insults, the other driver retaliated. The father went to get his kid after leaving his car at the school's parking lot. While heading back home, the other driver told him, "I know where you live, I'm going to kill you."
The second driver kept his word and went to the father's home. The father told the media that shortly after getting back from school, he noticed a vehicle driving up outside his house. "I went out because I was afraid something would happen to my car. They come to me as if to hit, I stop him and the other one when he got down he fired the shot," the father said. The bullet that impacted the victim's leg, fortunately, missed his artery. An emergency clinic in the area treated him.
