At the beginning of the year, 'Love Island' alum Malin Andersson posted on Instagram how it was a Happy New Year for her and her partner Tom Kemp since their baby girl arrived on December 23, 2018. The baby was seven weeks early and hence required to be under intensive care. Sadly, her baby whom she named Consy, could not make it. Baby Consy died on January 23, 2019.

The 26-year-old television star had been sharing the little one's journey with her fans on social media and with a heavy heart revealed the news of her baby's death in a heartbreaking post that her 4-week-old daughter, Consy has died. This was her first child with partner Tom. Baby Consy had been in London's Great Street Hospital ever since she was born. She was named after Andersson’s late mother, who died in November 2017 after fighting a tough battle with breast cancer. She had earlier lost her father to skin cancer.

"Completely in love with you … and my Mum just wanted you to be with her," Andersson wrote on the Instagram post, captioning a photo of Consy. "Your time wasn’t ready yet."

"Mummy loves you. I stayed with you each day … you opened your eyes one last time for me and I saw those beautiful big brown eyes," she continued. "I'm so sorry I couldn’t do anymore. Go be with grandma Consy. ❤️😞 My angel. Rest in peace." She completed her post by listing her daughter’s full name and lifespan. "Consy Gloria Emma Andersson-Kemp,” Andersson wrote. “12/23/18-01/22/19."

Andersson first post about Consy's birth was at the beginning of this month. “She is so beautiful, we are totally in love with her and feel so blessed that she is here but unfortunately due to complications, she is currently being cared for at Great Ormond Street,” the reality star wrote.

"We are so thankful for the amazing care she is receiving here and promise to update you on her progress but for the time being, we hope you can all respect our privacy. We can't wait to share her with you all soon," she concluded. There were other updates she shared on Instagram throughout the month, including a post on January 8 of Anderson holding her daughter's hand.

She had captioned the image writing: "All your prayers, messages, healing … it means the world to us," she wrote. "Baby Consy is still in intensive care, and fighting each day. This has been the most difficult time I have ever gone through. I just want to hold her …"

"It's different to my mum last year," Andersson added. "My mum was ready to go … my little girl isn't. She has given me the ultimate purpose in my life and I'm not prepared to let her go."

The past year had been quite a trying time for the star as things with Tom had not been smooth sailing. Weeks after she announced her baby news, she accused him of cheating on her. The couple later split with her confirming it as well, but then the two worked on their differences and then decided to give their relationship another chance.

The arrival of the baby was the high point for her last year. She was pretty excited as she had conveyed in a tweet just before Christmas '"So what a shocking year. Absolutely awful. However 2019 I will be blessed with my own family. I may no longer have the family I had last year but I’ll be hugging my baby girl soon. 6 weeks left."

But after the early arrival of baby Consy, she wrote, "Hardest thing I've ever gone through," tweeting four days later, “I love you so much and you don't even know it yet."
