LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' was named best picture after Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, Daniel Kwan, and Daniel Scheinert bagged the awards that they were nominated in at the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday, capping off an improbable awards season run by winning the movie business’s highest honor. Presiding over it all and (mostly) keeping things light and breezy was Jimmy Kimmel, returning for the third time as the host of the Oscars. The late-night comic wasted no time bringing up the big moment from last year’s ceremony when Will Smith charged the stage and slapped Chris Rock for making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head as she suffers from alopecia. However, the best song was won by 'RRR' but Rihanna's performance is all that everyone can talk about. More so, Rihanna dedicated her performance to the late Chadwick Boseman, who used to portray the MCU character, 'Black Panther'.

'Royalty in her own right'

Danai Gurira gave an incredible emotional presentation speech at the 95th Academy Awards, dedicating the song to none other than the late Chadwick Boseman who died due to colon cancer. Boseman used to play the titular character of the MCU movie, 'Black Panther'. However, Gurira introduced Rihanna’s performance of 'Lift Me Up' by calling the nominated superstar “royalty in her own right.” 'Umbrella' singer certainly looked the part in a custom look by John Galliano for Maison Margiela Artisanal. The performance featured a choir of vocalists and a live band. The nine-time Grammy winner’s singing was emotionally charged, making for a beautiful and memorable number. Her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, cheered from the crowd, which gave her a standing ovation at the end.

'This woman is magnificent'

After the performance aired, fans went berserk. A fan said, "This woman is magnificent," while another wrote, "Rihanna crushed it big time here. Sad she's in her prime but won't release a new album, lol." A fan tweeted,"I cried hearing it in the movie, And I cried now, because it's a very powerful song as I miss Chadwick Bozeman and I miss someone in my personal life. Love you Rihanna Fendi." A fan shared, "i can never tire of @rihanna’s voice it only gets better age! ballads are her strong suit." Lastly, a fan commented, "Iam dead! She absolutely killed it! Looking gorgeous! #LiftMeUp XOChef Art."
