'MAFS' Season 15: Fans worry that Miguel and Lindy have a 'trauma bond' over divorced parents

When it comes to the couples on 'Married At First Sight', the honeymoon period is not always lovey-dovey, seeing that the couple often have all important conversations around their past and future at this time. These conversations are make-it-or-break-it factors, as the couples face the reality that they are no longer strangers, but husband and wife. 

Miguel and Lindy have not been shy when it comes to jumping into the process head first. The couple has been quick to have bigger conversations and both, Miguel and Lindy seem determined to try to make things work. But as they opened up about their past, it became evident where their attitude towards their marriage comes from.

Miguel opened up to Lindy about his family life, explaining that his parents divorced when he was young and that during this time, he stayed with his father. He spoke about his relationship with his mother and how he felt abandoned early on, and how it all changed when he realised that she was dealing with schizophrenia. Lindy also opened up about how her parents got divorced early on and the fact that she ended up spending a lot of time with her then-boyfriend, which led her to revaluate what real relationships look like. And while Lindy and Miguel hoped to communicate more, fans were worried that their past would be a hindrance to their future.
