Madisyn Baldwin was a senior year student who was expected to graduate at the end of this school term. She was gifted in academics and had already been accepted into multiple colleges. She had even secured admission with full scholarship at some of the esteemed institutions, according to her family.
Madisyn, the eldest of three siblings, was passionate about art and loved to draw. She shared a close bond with her two sisters and a younger half-brother. Her family and friends are currently mourning her tragic death.
Journalist Priya Mann verified Madisyn Baldwin's identity as the victim after receiving confirmation from her family. "The family of Madisyn Baldwin confirms the 17 year was one of the victims killed in the Oxford High School shooting. Three students died. A 15-year-old sophomore was taken into custody," Mann tweeted.
Madisyn was reportedly missing at first and her grandmother Jennifer Graves Mosqueda had posted an urgent appeal on Facebook seeking details on her whereabouts. In a now-deleted post, Mosqueda mentioned that she was not answering her phone or responding to text messages. "Our family is out on foot trying to find her and bring her home safe.....She was not in her psychology class during the time of the shootings, WHERE SHE WAS SCHEDULED TO BE. No contact with her mother, father, stepmother, grandparents, aunts, friends or her boyfriend!!," Mosqueda wrote.
She later deleted the post after Madisyn was found to be dead and updated her profile photo with a smiling photo of Madisyn.
