'MacGyver' Season 5 Episode 3: Mac and Desi's smooch happened at the wrong time? Fans say 'we were baited'
Spoilers for 'MacGyver' Season 5 Episode 4
Trust kissing in the middle of a mission? While it may have done wonders for Angus MacGyver (Lucas Till) and Desi (Levy Tran), the timing was bad as they weren't able to catch one of the psychopaths they were chasing. It was the very madman crucial to help a kidnapped Russ (Henry Ian Cusick). Joe Pantoliano guest stars as Eric Andrews, a murderous psychopath who has found peace and changed his ways.
The kiss scene might have been brief, but fans on Twitter were quick to latch on to the scene and share their thoughts. "#MacGyver maybe they should have never kissed," read one of the tweets. Another tweet read: "It seems as though even when he is showing Desi how to express feelings, he was trying hard to not hurt Desi #MacGyver"

One of the fans who hoped for a Mac and Riley romance was disappointed. "So judging by my TL the #MacGyver episode tonight wasn’t the #MacRiley one we were hoping for," she tweeted. "Helluva kiss, Mac & Desi! #MacGyver #mscgyvercbs #epicfail@epicfaildrone @MacGyverCBS @MacGyverWriters," seconded another. "Damn, we were baited and now we're suffering from more Mac and Desi romance #MacGyver" read a tweet.

In the meantime, Russ is still in trouble and as far as the Riley romance goes, she is blissfully unaware of the kiss that's transpired between Desi and Mac. Earlier in the episode, Bozer too was keen to know if Mac and Desi being together on a mission would disturb Riley, but he shrugs it off. Wonder how she reacts to the latest developments between the two. For now, what we do know is Desi reciprocated saying Mac should ask for dinner first before kissing.
Well, they did manage to acquire Andrews back. So, off to the next act then.
