Lyft driver Gary Levin's daughter says 'feels like someone took his car' as he goes missing after picking up riders
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA: Despite having dinner plans set with his girlfriend for Monday night, January 30, 74-year-old Gary Levin, hasn't returned home. The South Florida Lyft driver had picked up riders the day he went missing, police authorities said as they have initiated an investigation.
Levin hasn't called home neither are his family members able to contact him, it has been reported citing his family. His red Kia Stinger with license plate 81ABTY was last detected in Gainesville on Wednesday, said Palm Beach Gardens police who are looking into the case.

'Did he pick someone up?
Lyft has since responded by saying, "Lyft said at this point, they can only share that he was active on the app at 1.22 pm. At that point ... they won’t tell us, did he pick someone up? Did he drop someone off? We don’t know who this person is," Lindsay DiBetta, Gary Levin's daughter, told WPBF 25 News.
Family members said highway scans show the car was seen in Miami, Okeechobee County, Sumter County, and most recently in Gainesville on Wednesday, but this doesn't "add up" according to the family. "I can’t imagine him going and picking someone up in Miami and then going to Okeechobee? Like that would be, you know, he would let his girlfriend know. They had dinner plans on Monday night, and he never came home. He would let her know, 'Hey, I’m driving from Palm Beach Gardens to Miami and then to Okeechobee,'" DiBetta said as per the outlet. DiBetta suspects that someone took her father’s car. "In my mind, it makes me feel like someone took his car," she said.
Cellphone turned off
Gary Levin's family repeatedly tried to establish contact by calling his cellphone, but it has been turned off since 2 pm on Tuesday, the family later learned. Levin is also reported to be mentally fit and has no known condition which can indicate he will go harm's way besides being a tech-savvy guy. "Levin made no threats to himself and has no known medical conditions", according to Palm Beach Gardens police.
'100% technology guy'
"He is a 100% technology guy. He’s always posting on Facebook and also uses his GPS for everything on his phone. Like, it doesn’t make sense that he would be driving the Lyft car and not even have his GPS going on," DiBetta said as per the report.

Keeping Gary in their thoughts, Lyft said, "Our thoughts are with Levin's family and loved ones during this deeply concerning time. We've been in touch with his family to offer our support and stand ready to assist law enforcement with any investigation into this matter." Police described Levin as about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighing 170 pounds.
