Who was Sidney Wolf? Ex-Cuomo staffer killed by passing car after Lyft driver kicked him out on highway
An outraged Lyft driver forced a former employee of Governor Andrew Cuomo out of the vehicle right at the center of a Delaware roadway, where he was crushed by a passing vehicle.
According to the Delaware State Police, Sidney Wolf was struck and killed on Route 1 of the Coastal Highway at around 1:44 am on Sunday after the driver signaled to Wolf and five of his pals to get out of the vehicle. The Lyft driver had stopped the vehicle following an undisclosed altercation between him and the passengers.

In an attempt to avoid the stopped car, the driver of a Toyota Corolla behind the Lyft changed lanes and struck Wolf, who had just gotten out of the back seat and was standing on the road.
The other five passengers were unharmed. The Lyft driver fled the scene and is still at large, but the occupant of the Toyota stayed at the site. The former picked up the six passengers in Dewey Beach and was driving them to Bethany Beach. Cops said that the collision occurred south of Anchor Way.
A Lyft representative said to FOX 5, "We are heartbroken by this incident. Our hearts are with the victim's loved ones during this incredibly difficult time, and we’ve reached out to the ride requester to offer our support. We are in contact with law enforcement and will assist them however we can."
Wolf was Governor Andrew Cuomo's former senior policy advisor. "Shocked & saddened to hear this tragic news. Sid was a phenomenal public servant who worked relentlessly for the betterment of all NY’ers. My heart goes out to Lindsey & his two young daughters," Cuomo tweeted.
