5 Seconds of Summer's Luke Hemmings, on Monday, November 9, took to his official Instagram account and informed his 6.4 million fans that his girlfriend, Sierra Deaton, is bisexual. While announcing this news on Instagram stories, he also shared a selfie of himself with Sierra as they celebrated Pride Month in Los Angeles.
Sierra had a rainbow tattoo on her left arm as the two showed their support for Pride Month. Luke and Sierra, in the past, have supported the Black Lives Matter movement while sharing donation links with their fans encouraging them to stand up for causes they believe in.
The 23-year-old 'Youngblood' hitmaker, captioned the instagram story, which has since disappeared, writing, "There is still so much work to be done but I wanted to wish everyone a happy pride. Especially to my beautiful bisexual biracial angel. He also tagged Sierra, the 29-year-old singer-songwriter who rose to fame after winning the US version of 'The X Factor' in 2013.
Luke and Sierra have been dating since February 2018. Recently, Sierra wrote a touching tribute to her rocker boyfriend on his 23rd birthday on Instagram stories saying, "How the universe bundled up the most kind, hard-working, funny, talented, and sexy man into one human is beyond me. Luke, Thank you for being my rock through hell or high water, but mostly for telling me everything I cook is the greatest thing you've ever tasted."
She also posted multiple images of herself and Luke and wrote, "there aren’t enough words to articulate how much I love every ounce of the being you are. lu, thank you for being my rock through hell or high water, but mostly for telling me everything I cook is the greatest thing you’ve ever tasted lmao. happy birthday to my very best friend. my soul mate. Before dating Sierra, Luke was involved in a relationship with Instagram sensation and influencer Arzaylea Rodriguez from 2016 to 2017. He has been in a relationship with Sierra since 2018.
Most recently, in his latest Instagram post, Luke debuted his brand new look in which he was covered in tattoos. This was, according to Luke, his Halloween look. He wrote, "I know it’s late but I dressed up as lanky Ryan Gosling for Halloween just to stay home, swipe right for our crazy night" This was his first post on the social media site in almost three months.
Sierra was a part of the music duo Alex & Sierra. Made up of Alex Kinsey and Sierra, they won the third and final season of the US version of 'The X Factor' and were mentored by Simon Cowell. Their debut album 'It's About Us' was released in 2014 followed by the EP 'As Seen on TV' in 2016. Alex & Sierra broke up in 2017 to branch out into their own solo careers.
