'Love It or List It': Jessica and Erin keep their existing house after Hilary Farr's marvelous renovation

"Hilary Farr. That's it. That's the tweet," wrote a Twitter user hailing the queen of renovations that the interior designer and HGTV host is. For the second time in a row this season, her magic renovations have resulted in couples choosing to 'love' their existing house.

This week, Hilary and her realtor co-host David Visentin were working Jessica and Erin, a couple who purchased their ranch-style home five years ago. Their son Foster is still under a year and Jessica feared that once he hit the year mark, the house would not be functional enough for them, their human baby and their canine baby. She also said that they plan to expand their family in the future and there was no way that their 1300 square feet house would make sense once that happens. However, her husband Erin was of the opinion that they could make the space work, even if it meant making major renovations.

Some of the issues around the house that the couple pointed out were: a trick closet right when you enter the house making the entryway narrower than it already was, their kitchen wasn't updated, it lacked an island and the countertops were not how Jessica would like them, their dining area was good enough for just four people and that was a problem when they wanted to entertain guests. Their bathroom had a very short vanity meaning guests would have to bend over a lot if they wanted to use the sink. Their laundry room wasn't even in the house, it was in the garage which stood on the other side of the wall of the kitchen.

David and Hilary had their work cut out for them. While Hilary felt that a budget of just $100,000 was too tight, David had to deal with Erin who was sometimes too picky. He showed them a couple of houses and the couple really like two of them. However, in the end, they fell in love with Hilary's work at their existing house. Even though they had to part away with their garage space that Hilary used to extend and open up the kitchen, and with the tight budget she wasn't able to update their bathroom, the couple chose to stick with their newly renovated house instead of listing it and moving into a new one. This was yet another win for Hilary who gets "really upset" when a client lists a house.

'Love It or List It' airs Mondays at 9 pm only on HGTV.
