The couple has been criticized for lacking chemistry, leaving viewers puzzled about how they ended up together in the first place. Throughout the Casa Amor episodes, it was evident that Caine never showed much interest in Liv. His interactions with her seemed to be restricted, and there was little to no spark between them. This made their decision to couple up during Casa Amor all the more confusing to fans. Many took to social media to express their skepticism, with some even predicting an imminent split.

Liv and Caine's pairing didn't seem to make sense to the viewers, who felt that the connection was superficial at best. "The way Caine was the ONLY casa boy who made it out & liv don’t even want him fr," a user said. "Does Liv even like Caine she was sitting for far away from him," said another. "Did they force Liv to pick Caine??," added one.
