MAMANUCA ISLANDS, FIJI: Fans of 'Love Island USA' were in for a shocking moment when Coye Simmons' mother, ShockyShay, called his Season 6 ex-girlfriend JaNa Craig as "desperate" in an online comment. Even though Coye and JaNa had a cordial breakup before he left the Villa, it appears Coye's mother is deeply upset by her son's departure from the show.
After JaNa chose to date Bombshell Connor Newsum over Coye, the Islander's mother launched a social media attack against her. In multiple Instagram posts, his mother, who uses the handle 'iamshockyshay,' stated that, unlike JaNa, Coye "knew his worth."
She continued, “She was crazy for sending Coye home! She wanted him to open up his whole life on the spot. He did not want her after realizing who she was.”
Coye's mother further elaborated that her son "regretted" choosing JaNa over Serena Page during the initial pairing ceremony, suggesting he would have been "a whole different person with her [Serena]."
Furthermore, she claimed that after "playing it safe" by leaning toward JaNa, Connor will "turn his head" and choose someone else.
