Connor wanted to wake up and get out of bed but lacked the motivation. He tried reading books, but that didn't help either. However, everything changed when he came across a post about the Santa Barbara Triathlon. After months of practice, he finished the triathlon and also beat his depression.

He has a tradition of running his age in miles every year, and he recently accomplished 28 miles to celebrate his 28th birthday. He shared, "One of the best aspects of these races is the community. Getting to meet amazing athletes before, during, and after the race." Connor elaborated, "It's a solo event but you feel heavily bonded to the people participating next to you."
