'Love and Marriage: Huntsville' premiered with its second season on July 11, on OWN. However, the show has already managed to pique the interests of viewers with the dynamic among the three couples who are front and center of the show. Melody and Martell Holt, Marsau and LaTisha Scott and Maurice and Kimmi Scott are three real estate couples, as well as prominent figures in Huntsville, Alabama who started as friends but their relationship was seen going kaput in Season 1. The entirety of Season 1 was spent with the Holts battling Martell's adultery. After his secret came out, he tried to insinuate that Marsau too was cheating on LaTisha. The latter confronted Melody about her husband's "false statements" but she just brushed it off saying how could she possibly determine it was false? This took a toll on their friendship with shots being fired from both ends. Melody revealed in the episode tonight that she got an apology from LaTisha, however, six days later she was retweeting negative tweets about the former. This resulted in Melody keeping her out of her baby shower to which everyone else they knew was invited.

Later on in the episode, Maurice pulled Martell aside for a one-on-one conversation and confronted him about the text messages he sent out. Maurice interrogated him about his reason to send out messages to him, LaTisha and Marsau accusing the latter of not being satisfied even after LaTisha had a "buttjob and tummy tuck". Martell coolly justified his reasons for doing so as a measure of "retaliation" against the things that were said about his marriage to Melody while a visibly horrified Maurice looked on.

Fans and viewers of the show who watched the episode have taken to Twitter to bash Martell for his behavior. "Martell is so abusive to everyone around him it’s hard to watch," wrote a fan. Another fan shared, "Martell is petty.....and I'm here for it when it comes to the Scotts #LAMH" while another wrote, "#LAMH Is Martell really up here telling Maurice that he can't defend HIS brother and sister in law?!". Another shared, "Martell thinks by uplifting his wife he must tear down other women. The WORST KIND OF MAN #lamh."

'Love and Marriage: Huntsville' airs Saturday nights on OWN.
