'The glass is blocking him'
The bodycam on Galloway captures the officer at the bottom of the stairs which take to the bank entrance. “Goddamn it the shooter has an angle on that officer. The glass is blocking him,” he’s heard saying. Galloway then says, “He’s shooting straight through these windows at the officer.” Once the glass of the windows at the front of the bank is shattered, finally Galloway pulls through and fires multiple times while able to lean forward. The officer gets the shooter in a spree, announcing to other cops, “He’s down! Get the officer,” while moving close to the Sturgeon.
Survivor Haste recalled the horrific incident and said, "He just started firing. I didn’t see his face. We were in the conference room. Whoever was next to me got shot, their blood’s on me." The employee showed the dried blood on his shirt to the interviewer.
