'You need to get out of here'
According to the outlet, the live-streamed video which is now scrubbed from Instagram reportedly showed a female worker inside the bank greeting Sturgeon saying "Good morning."
"You need to get out of here," the gunman told the woman and tried shooting her in the back. The woman then tried to escape as the rifle was not yet loaded at the time and his attempt to shoot her failed, according to the officials who detailed the contents of the live-streamed video to CNN. The mass shooter then loaded the rifle by removing the safety and aimed at the woman who greeted him. The woman was shot in the back and her condition remains unknown. The 25-year-old then went on firing several shots at his co-workers on the bank's first floor while they were trying to run to safety.
Sturgeon took a break amid the rampage
After a minute into the rampage, the gunman took a break from the shooting as he sat in the bank's lobby and seemed to wait for the arrival of the police officers to the scene, as per the official who described the now-deleted video.
In less than two minutes, the first officers responded to the scene in Louisville's downtown area and confronted Sturgeon who was killed during the ordeal. Officers have not yet officially determined Sturgeon's motive behind the killing spree. However, the gunman recently learned about the bank planning to fire him.
