Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Portland Trail Blazers ended exactly the way fands predicted it would. The Lakers went down 93-100 and Danny Green was the usual culprit with yet another dismal outing. It's been that season for him where a shooting has been well below par, thus costing the team precious points. With this disappointing performance, the calls to bench him for the remainder of the games has just grown louder. Twitter has been downright unforgiving as fans bashed and mocked Green.

"Danny green a whole brick tonight. Damn," read one of the tweets even as Green failed to nail the shots.

Another angry fan wrote, "Danny Green so trash."

"That’s embarrassing. Dame hitting 40 FT 3’s but you have to beg Danny Green & KCP just to simply make a corner 3," remarked one of the fans as he watched a stunning display of action from the Trail Blazers.

Another fan questioned, "If Danny Green not making shots or defending why is he playing?"

A fan shared his observation of the game, writing, "Down 3, under 3 mins left... Lakers ball. KCP misses a left handed runner.. then Melo makes a 3 to go up 6.. then danny green misses a wide open 3... U have lebron & AD..... KCP & Danny are the two guys shooting the ball lol."

"Why are coaches so stubborn, why the f**k did Vogel leave Danny green in the game for so long ? Dion waiters and Jr didn’t even get off the bench #lakers," asked one of the fans.

"Why is KCP starting for the Lakers?! Why is Danny Green a walking brick right now?! And more important, why is Jared Dudley still on the Lakers roster?! Lebron and AD are playing 2 vs 5 for 80% of the game...." read one of the comments.

Perhaps it is time the Lakers ring in the changers. With the Trail Blazers taking the early lead and looking to capitalize on the clinical start, the Lakers will have their hands full and a selection headache to deal with when the two sides clash again for Game 2 on Thursday, August 20.
