Vallow and Chad Daybell, a former pastor, are charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy counts in the deaths of 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old JJ aka Joshua Vallow. The kids are reportedly believed to have been killed on two separate dates in September 2019.
"Vallow failed or refused to contact the Social Security Administration as required by law to inform the Social Security Administration of Tylee Ryan's death," read a line from the indictment, as per the latest report. Between September 25, 2019 and January 22, 2020, "Vallow did wrongfully continue to collect five monthly Social Security Survivor benefits on behalf of Tylee Ryan," read another. The indictment indicates she did it in case of JJ as well. Vallow allegedly also changed the bank account information from her children's to her own.
A day after a grand jury chose to indict Lori and Chad Daybell for their actions regarding the death of the Vallow children, Tylee Ryan and JJ Wallow, and Daybell's wife Tammy, who died in October 2019, the indictment indicated that Vallow collected her dead children's social security benefits. Vallow and Daybell were apparently members of a "doomsday cult" and got married just two weeks after Tammy's death. The former pastor also faces first-degree murder charges in his wife's death, and both he and Vallow face conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in Tammy's death.
As per reports, Vallow's kids' bodies were found on Daybell's property in Salem, Idaho in June 2020. The couple is believed to have planned their murder nearly a year earlier, with the conspiracy charges dating to October 2018.
The indictment also reports that prosecutors are looking to Vallow's brother Alex Cox as someone who had a potential role in his niece and nephew's death as well as Tammy Daybell's. He is named as a co-conspirator in all three deaths. In addition to that, the indictment also reveals that there are additional suspected co-conspirators that are "both known and unknown" to prosecutors.
With suspicions surrounding Tammy Daybell's death, her body was exhumed in December 2019. The day after, Cox had suddenly died. A medical examiner ruled that Cox died of natural causes, reportedly possibly a cardiac condition.

At the same time, the document does not give any details as to how the three victims were killed. But claims that both Vallow and Daybell "endorse[d] and espouse[d] religious beliefs for the purpose of justifying or encouraging the homicide" of all three victims.
