BOISE, IDAHO: A number of documents were made public on Wednesday morning, April 19, during the continuing murder trial of Lori Vallow, one of which was an email sent by her husband Chad Daybell two months after the alleged murders of her children, Joshua 'JJ' Vallow and Tylee Ryan. Lori, 49, and Daybell, 54, were allegedly looking for a home in Hawaii.

Daybell contacted a realtor regarding a house in Hawaii, claiming to have "no kids," according to DailyMail. He sent the email three days after the couple's beach wedding in Hawaii and six weeks after Lori's children JJ, 7, and Tylee, 16, were last seen alive, and before the police were notified of their disappearance. Prosecutors allege that the couple killed the children in September 2019—roughly two months earlier—and then buried them at Daybell's property in Idaho in shallow graves. The doomsday cult members allegedly exploited their religious convictions to justify the killings.

'A clean couple with no pets or children'

On November 8, 2019, Daybell sent an email to Kauai Dreams Realty that read, "We are interested in seeing this property. Would the owners be interested in leasing this property to a clean couple with no pets or children? Please let us know. Thank you," according to DailyMail.

Furthermore, the testimony given during Lori's trial revealed that the mother kept receiving thousands in social security benefits meant for her children even after their deaths. The children were each receiving about $3,800 per month in social security and survivor benefits due to the death of their fathers, Tylee's father Joe Ryan died in 2018 and JJ's father Charles Vallow died in 2019.

Lori is now on trial for the deaths of JJ, Tylee, and Daybell's wife Tammy, who died on October 19, 2019. Daybell has three separate murder cases pending against him, and his court date has not yet been scheduled. Both have pleaded not guilty to the accusations of grand theft, conspiracy, and murder.

'Probably because you murdered my siblings!'

The jury heard an emotional phone conversation from Lori Ryan's lone surviving son, Colby Ryan, to her regarding the alleged killings on Tuesday, April 18, according to DailyMail. Colby made the call after JJ and Tylee's remains were found buried in an eastern Idaho yard in 2020 and Vallow was arrested in connection with the murders.

Colby begins by asking his mother whether she thinks she can continue to hide from him. Lori said, "I'm not hiding, why would you think I'm hiding?" Colby replied, "Probably because you murdered my siblings! Maybe you should understand."

Lori interrupted by saying, "I didn't. I'm sorry you feel that way." Colby claimed that while his brother and sister were missing, his mother repeatedly misled him, even sending him texts from his sister's phone that appeared to be from Tylee. He said, "To know that they're gone, and you knew! And my phone is being texted by my little sister, who's not even alive!"

Colby continued, "My poor brother, who is the sweetest little kid ever - for what purpose? You tell me this is God's will: For my whole family, including my stepfather, to be dead," and Lori laughed in response. He further expressed his concerns towards her and cautioned her against blasphemy, which appeared to relate to some of Lori's bizarre views.
