'Little People, Big World': She said yes! With a mushy card and heart-shaped ring, Chris finally proposes to Amy
Amy Roloff and Chris Marek are engaged! The pair had been dating each other for three years and Chris knew that their third anniversary was the perfect moment for him to pop the big question. He had been hinting about a proposal for a long time on the show and decided to go for it when he found the perfect ring for Amy.
Chris had previously revealed he chose a heart-shaped diamond ring for Amy as she would often look for heart-shaped rocks or pebbles whenever they went for a walk on the beach. While he had the perfect ring picked out for her, he knew the moment he popped the big question also had to be special.
While Chris admitted to being nervous, he knew he had to make the moment worth remembering. Making sure that Amy has no hint of the proposal, the pair decided to stick to their tradition of going to their favorite restaurant for a nice dinner. Matt had stated earlier that he wanted to make sure he wants to give Amy a nice proposal story that she would remember.
He revealed he had heard many of his friends talk about their proposal and wanted the same for Amy. While he looked forward to the proposal, Amy was excited about celebrating their three-year anniversary. She told her friends one thing that is a must is a card that is written by Chris.
She revealed they have always given each other cards on their anniversary and she would want to continue the tradition. Finally, it was time for the two to head out for dinner. As the two sat down to eat, they spoke about Amy's new rental and how things were about to change.
Chris then gave Amy the card he had brought for her. Amy was surprised to find out that it was a "mushy card" and "not a funny card". She felt emotional reading what Chris had written and became teary-eyed. While Amy was enjoying the moment, Chris seemed nervous about the proposal.
Amy was quick to pick up on the signs and asked him what had happened. Chris thought it would be the perfect moment to get down on his knees and make the proposal. Giving her the diamond ring Chris asked Amy if she would marry him. She was quick to reply with a "yes!". The two embraced each other and followed it with a kiss and Amy admitted it was a moment she would never forget.
