Lindsey Graham says no chance of a Republican president after 2020 elections, Internet says 'works for us'
Senator Lindsey Graham, speaking to Fox News, had warned the nation and the outgoing president Donald Trump that if the current results of the 2020 elections - which projected president-elect Joe Biden as winner - are allowed to stand, the United States will never have a Republican president ever again.
Weighing in on the allegations of election fraud in the elections, he said: “Number one, this is a contested election and the media doesn’t decide who becomes president. If they did, you would never have a Republican president forever. So, we’re discounting them.” Graham then went on to cite a baseless rumor that many Republicans had touted --- a number of dead people had voted in the election. “The Trump team has canvassed all early voters and absentee mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania and they found over a hundred people we think are dead... If Republicans don’t challenge and change the US election system, there will never be another Republican president elected again,” he asserted. “President Trump should not concede.” Not to mention, Trump had said he will not concede, alleging widespread voter fraud led to tens of thousands of illegal ballots being cast against him.
Graham's interview went viral on social media with a number of people making fun of the fact that Graham was not ready to accept the results of the presidential race. "Lindsay Graham needs to realize that the media did not decide who won the election, the voters did. He had no issue with the media in South Carolina calling him the winner in his race over Jamie Harrison, though said media hated his guts," one of them said. Another noted, "Yeah, he wants a recount, we should look towards his Senate race. Poor Lindsey was sweating bullets and begging on t.v. He looked terrified. His relief at his win was palpable. Now he's back to toeing the line. What do they have on you Linds? Tell the World and be free!!"
A third added, "Well yeah. Its demographics skip. More of us, less of them. Despite suppression, gerrymandering, crippling the USPS, Trump lost. Get used to it." Another social media user said, "Yes, if votes weren't counted and the electoral wasn't a thing we would never have a republican president. If gerrymandering, disenfranchisement and voter suppression wasn't a thing we wouldn't have a republican Congress or far right court either." And someone else commented, "Dear LadyG, Perhaps the GOP might be more careful who they decide will be their candidate next time? Admit your mistake & move on."
There were others who did not see a problem with Graham's statement of there never being another GOP leader in the future. Comments like "Works for me," "I’m not seeing a downside" and "I'm not seeing a problem here" were passed as well. A number of users wrote, "Don’t threaten us with a good time."

We previously reported that Graham has declared he's standing beside Trump and his claims of the 2020 elections being rigged. Celebrating his re-election to the Senate, he said, "Democracy depends upon fair elections," to reporters via a Zoom call on Friday, November 6. Graham claimed that the Democrats would be appreciated if they were the ones claiming election rigging. "President Trump’s team is going to have a chance to make a case regarding voting irregularities. They deserve a chance to make that case. I’m going to stand with President Trump. If a Democrat were doing this, it’d be cheered on," Graham said in the call.
