Is Lindsey Graham Trump's ‘pet’? Wikipedia lists him among WH dogs after Greg Kelly calls Biden's Champ ‘dirty’
The controversy around Newsmax anchor Greg Kelly branding Joe Biden's pet dog Champ as 'dirty' and 'from the junkyard' has gone on to a different level. As it appears now — as a retaliatory action — some anonymous editor has added Senator Lindsey Graham's name as Donald Trump's "pet" in the list of United States Presidential Pets.
No, we are not kidding... It actually happened. As soon as screenshots were circulated online, the Internet was in splits. It is believed that the editor might have drawn inspiration from tweets on social media that labeled South Carolina senator Graham as "Trump's pet" while he was in office.

Why did the Internet call Lindsey Graham Trump's pet?
On February 19, conservative media channel Newsmax's Kelly branded Biden's senior pet dog Champ as 'dirty'. To the disapproval of many, Kelly went on to add that Champ looked like he is from the junkyard and needed a lot more love and care than he gets. Kelly's guest historian Craig Shirley also said that Champ was 'unlike any presidential dog'. “I want to show you something I noticed. Does anybody look a little, uh, a little rough?” Kelly was heard saying. “I love dogs, but this dog needs a bath and a comb and all kinds of love and care. I’ve never seen a dog in the White House like this.” He further said: “This dog looks like from, I’m sorry, from the junkyard. And I love that dog, but he looks like he’s not been well cared for.”
However, the Internet stood up for Champ and countered by calling Trump aide Sen. Lindsey Graham as the former president's pet.
"Think Trump ever had a pet his entire life...besides Lindsey Graham I mean," tweeted one user. "Trump didn’t even have a dog. He had a pet Lindsey Graham instead," tweeted another. "Now do Trump's pet, Lindsey Graham," a user told Kelly. "As opposed to Trump's pet dogs, Lindsey Graham and Rand Paul," jeered another. One user said Trump's 'pet' Lindsey Graham was fairly 'well-groomed' in comparison.

In fairness, Trump did seem to make sure that his pet, Lindsey Graham, was fairly well groomed.

The controversial Wikipedia edit
Wikipedia has an entire page dedicated to 'United States Presidential Pets' which enlists all the pet animals ever owned by any US president. It compiles an extensive list starting from the pets of George Washington, the first POTUS to present President Joe Biden.
It is a well-known fact that Trump was the first president in a century who never owned any pets while in office. In fact, he had famously remarked 'I don't have any time' when asked why he does not have a dog, reported Washington Post.
On February 20, an unknown individual filled the gap against Trump's name in the presidential pets' list — by linking Lindsey Graham's Wikipedia page there. Wikipedia is a freely accessible platform that allows edits from anybody, which is why it is common knowledge not to trust Wikipedia completely for any information.
The Lindsey Graham edit was soon followed by 'Mexico United States barrier' as someone listed the Border wall as Trump's pet as well.
At present, the list has been edited again to show "none" against Trump's name. Nonetheless, the controversy seems to have sparked one too many jokes online.
A member of the Republican Party, Graham has held the seat of the senior United States senator from South Carolina since 2003. Ever since Trump was elected as president, Graham has spoken in his favor umpteen times. In fact, he also declared that Trump "should not concede", because "if Republicans don't challenge and change the US election system, there will never be another Republican president elected again".
