DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS: Lindsay Clancy, a mother who is accused of killing her three children by strangling them before attempting to kill herself by jumping from the roof of their home, is now permanently paralyzed from the waist down. Clancy, 32, was struggling with postpartum depression and pleaded with doctors for assistance prior to the deaths of her children.
Clancy reportedly slashed her own wrists and jumped out of the family home's top-floor window following the traumatic event. She is accused of killing her five-year-old daughter Cora, three-year-old son Dawson, and seven-month-old son Callan by strangling them on January 24 in the basement of their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home. Lindsay has spent the last four months under intensive medical care to get better care while she waits for the grand jury to decide whether or not to charge her with murder. She was recently moved to a new hospital.

'It's hard to have sympathy for Ms Clancy at this point'
Clancy's legal counsel recently disclosed that she sustained irreparable injury and will never be able to move her legs again, according to Boston Globe. Kevin J Reddington, an attorney, used medical records and his conversations with doctors in his declaration that "she will be forever" paralyzed from the waist down as a result of the window jump, as per Daily Mail.
On Twitter, several individuals expressed their reactions to Clancy becoming permanently paralyzed with one person writing, "It would be a mercy on her and her remaining loved ones had she had a higher jumping point. Unbelievably sad." One individual wrote, "Now she'll be able to suffer in prison." Another person wrote, "It's hard to have sympathy for Ms Clancy at this point. She is 'forever paralyzed' from the waist down. Her three children are 'forever' dead. I think that's worse. They didn't have any choice in the matter. She took their lives." A fourth person wrote, "At this point, euthanizing her makes the most sense."

Where is Lindsay Clancy getting treatment currently?
Clancy is presently receiving treatment at Tewksbury Hospital under the supervision of the state Department of Mental Health after doctors determined that she needs continuous medical and psychological care, according to DailyMail.
More than $1 million has been received through a GoFundMe page created in January for her grieving husband, Patrick Clancy, but her lawyer has assured that 'not one cent' of this money is being used to fund her defense.
Clancy's lawyer acknowledged that her parents have been covering her legal expenses. Following the ordeal in January, Patrick publicly forgave his wife, Clancy. It is not known if a jury has been selected or if it has not yet been fulfilled. The following court date has been set for July. If found guilty of murder, Clancy could have a life sentence in prison.
