Warning: Spoiler alert

After an emotionally straining episode 4 'Napoleon', Lia Haddock (Jessica Beil) discovers what was going on in Limetown. Well, not entirely, but her interview with Reverand Warren Chambers (John Beasley) gets her one step closer leading to the mysterious financier behind Limetown.

Warren Chambers' testimony places RB Villard (Hiro Kanagawa) in Limetown. Villard had earlier testified before the Congress that he wasn't ever present in Limetown.

She is granted an interview with him but must go to Kansas and a secret bunker underground to speak with him. She is made to remove her clothes, given a jumpsuit, and only then allowed to enter. Villard makes it clear that he is only giving her an interview because Chambers placed him in Limetown.

Villard is an immortalist. His bunker is a magnificent mansion underground. He takes supplements, injections, undergoes blood transfusions every two days to remain vigorous. He tells her about his involvement in the project. Oscar Totem (Alessandro Juliani) showed him a dream of seamless connectivity and the feeling of oneness and togetherness. Villard so wanted to make it a reality that he signs Totem a  cheque for $14 billion to fund Limetown. Villard elaborates that his vision was one of pure connection beyond physical devices.

Lia is compelled to ask him why he lives the way he does — in a cave. He answers her by repeating something he said at the beginning of their chat — that he believed in humanity. But after Limetown, he thought it was better to run away and hide.

Lia receives a warning in the face of her mother who tells her that any further digging would lead to the death of everyone who talks to her. But she also indicates that she is wired and that "they are listening". Although she doesn't know who 'they' are, she encourages Lia to 'keep going'.

At the end of the episode, mad that she has no leads yet madly driven, she tampers with the recording of her interview with Villard.

Villard had mentioned Max Finlayson (Louis Ferriera) as the tragic hero of Limetown. Intelligent and revolutionary, but he had a bad ego.

In episode 6 'A Simple Life', this tampering brings her to California to meet Max Finlayson, who, as Lia rightly predicted, is upset that Villard would credit Totem as the brains behind the idea.

Finlayson explains the process elaborately equating the connection to a link for seamless integration. She is, however, intrigued by the megaphones surrounding Finlayson's house. He tells her that he is now aware of the potential dangers to his life living with an implant and now having spoken to her. If ever in danger, he plans on blasting a decibel so high that he can slip into darkness.

But that doesn't take long. On her way home, she receives a call from Finlayson. He is held at gunpoint with the megaphones blaring in the background — it is his time. And this is another warning for Lia — "Don't try to run!" before the gun goes off.

Two new episodes for 'Limetown' will be available every Wednesday at 12 pm PT/ 3 pm ET.
