“Like, amazing head!": K Michelle spills all the racy details on her brief relationship with Idris Elba
For all those who weren't aware that singer K. Michelle and Luther actor Idris Elba had briefly dated, the Love & Hip-Hop star has finally provided a confirmation and a detailed account of their relationship and what didn't work out - and it's every bit as juicy as you imagine any affair revolving around the hunky Elba to be. Spoiler alert - Michelle doesn't only remember Elba for his brilliant acting skills. It's something way racier than what all Elba fans would expect of their favorite star.
Speaking to Hollywood Unlocked, Michelle delivered all the unfiltered details, mentioning the best part about their short relationship as she remembers it is: “Like, amazing head! It was good! I remember that head!” Michelle and Elba had dated for a couple of months in 2014, and as per her own account of the affair, the split happened because Elba wasn't ready to commit.
“He told me he would never be committed to one woman,” she said. “He said I would be taken care of, I would be fine, but he would never commit to one woman.”
Speaking further about their relationship, especially what the public's perception about it was, she said: “People thought it was such an odd situation." At the same time, she claimed that the reasons she did not publicize their relationship, was out of the fear of being judged as someone who was using him for fame.
“We would go out [but] I didn’t talk about [the relationship]. I wanted him to know that I wasn’t trying to pull anything. I never wanted to be that girl. Everyone around me knew his management, my management. He was so charming, it was like a movie.”
The two had met at the Soul Train Music Awards in 2013 just after the Memphis native had won Best New Artist. It had started with the British hunk complimenting her beauty, after which she cracked a joke about his style and also his "funny" accent. But all this while, she recounts a connection had been established.
This encounter soon followed with Elba dedicating a song to her at an afterparty and her bodyguard giving Elba her number. Thus began a good romantic course of their months-long relationship before the flame died out. And speaking about Elba's very shocking engagement announcement with former Miss Vancouver 2014 winner Sabrina Dhowre, Michelle shared the important lesson it taught her - that “Men are different with different women.”
She also added, “That wasn’t supposed to be my man. Out of every relationship I’ve been in or [men] I’ve dated, I learned the most from him. It wasn’t volatile or angry. He didn’t bring out [me] cursing him out. He was a gentleman…[and gave] amazing head, I remember that.”
