'Legacies' Season 2 Episode 15: Lizzie and MG share their first kiss, fans say 'this ship is rising'

'Legacies' may only be in its second season, but the CW show has built up a massive fan base, thanks in part to being spun off from 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'The Originals'. Carrying the legacy of a franchise that has been going on for more than a decade now is not easy, but 'Legacies' seems to be doing it well.
One of the defining aspects of the franchise is the passion fans feel for the many relationships on the show, be it Elena and Stefan, Elena and Damon, Caroline and Stefan, Kol and Davina, or Elijah and Hayley.
The same is true of 'Legacies'. Fans feel strongly about the relationships, those fulfilled and those waiting to happen on the show. For nearly two years now, fans have been hoping Milton Greasley aka MG and Lizzie Saltzman would start dating.
This week's episode finally gifted them with the couple's first kiss when it seemed like "Mizzie" would never happen. As dark Josie Saltzman wreaked havoc around the Salvatore School trying to force Lizzie into undergoing the Merge early, Lizzie was forced to rise up. Being the siphoning witch that she is, she needed to first take the power from another supernatural being. MG offered his hand, but Lizzie straight up kissed him, leaving MG, and certainly the fans, with a smile on their face as she left for an almost-certain doom.
Fans were elated. One fan wrote, "NO WAY LIZZIE JUST KISSED MG finally my endgame #legacies," as another tweeted, "Lizzie and MG KISS!!!!! OMFG!!!! This ship is rising!!!!!! It’s finally here!"
A viewer opined, "I'm just so happy for my trio...MG finally kissed Lizzie, Lizzie won the merge, and Rafael controlled or not finally got a backbone. This was my favorite episode of legacies ever. #Legacies." A fan wrote, "still not over Lizzie kissing mg I’m going to be thinking about it foreverrrr [sic] I love them #Legacies."
Some fans hoped Lizzie wouldn't break MG's heart again, with one tweeting, "All I'm saying is...Lizzie better not break MG's Heart...don't attack me but its true."
'Legacies' airs on The CW on Thursday nights at 9/8c.
