'Legacies' Season 2 Episode 7 sees Josie and Hope reuniting and fans couldn't be more thrilled
When Hope returned from Malivore towards the end of the first episode of Season 2 of 'Legacies' on The CW, no one else in Mystic Falls remembered her. She also came back to find that the love of her life -- Landon -- and her best friend -- Josie -- had gotten together in Hope's absence.
Hope was clearly heartbroken with the world moving on without her but she is forced to stay to fight the monsters coming from Malivore. Eventually, she comes clean to Alaric and our hearts collectively broke. In a later episode, Lizzie's memories of Hope came back after she was blasted with an ancient Japanese black magic spell from Josie and though they may have been antagonistic to each other before, it was nice to see them supporting each other.
Josie performed a reverse-engineered version of the spell on everyone, leading to their memories of Hope coming back. Landon gets conflicted -- his feelings for both Hope and Josie are very real and present -- and instead of choosing between the two, he skips town with Rafael thinking he's the root of all problems -- related to Malivore and romance.
But at the end of the episode, Hope talks to Josie and asks her permission to stay, to which Josie responds that Hope belongs in Mystic Falls whether Landon is there or not and it led to a sweet moment between the two characters.
Fans -- especially Hosie shippers -- loved this scene and hope the two characters go back to their old dynamic. One fan tweeted, "Ohmygosh just watched the latest episode of #Legacies and let me just say, the favorite episode this season so far especially the scene at the end where Josie and Hope actually talk about their feelings & Lizzie comes in with ice cream I missed the trio so much. Well done." Another wrote, "I can’t wait to see the look on Landon’s face when he comes back to find his ex-girlfriends together and madly in love with each other. #Legacies."
'Legacies' airs on The CW on Thursday nights. Season 2's fall finale will air next Thursday, on December 12th.
