DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS: Lindsay Clancy's lawyer has revealed that "not one cent" of the funds raised for her husband through a GoFundMe page has gone into the defense of the mother, who is accused of killing her three children. The 32-year-old Lindsay, a nurse from Massachusetts, was charged with murder after she allegedly strangled and killed her three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 7 months, before jumping from the bedroom window of her house on January 24, 2022.

Lindsay’s husband, Patrick Clancy discovered his children “unconscious, with obvious signs of trauma,” after he returned home at around 6 pm that day. Following the tragedy, a fundraising campaign was organized to help Patrick pay for “medical bills, funeral services, and legal help.” As of Monday, May 08, the GoFundMe, where Patrick addressed his family’s tragedy and called for forgiveness for his wife, raised a whopping $1,074,820 exceeding its $1,000,000 goal. However, Lindsay’s attorney now insisted ‘not one cent’ of the donation was being used to pay for her defense, according to The Sun.

Lidsay will be paralyzed 'forever'

Lindsay’s attorney Kevin J, Reddington told Boston Globe that “every nickel that’s been spent on her defense has come from her parents.” He later claimed that his client will likely need to use financial help from the court. “They’re pretty much-depleting everything they have to try and help her out,’’ Reddington noted, adding that the GoFundMe money is "Patrick's money." However, the attorney declined to comment on whether Patrick is helping to pay for his wife’s defense.

Lindsay has been hospitalized since the tragedy where she attempted to commit suicide after killing her children. The nurse reportedly slashed her wrists and jumped out of the family home's top-floor window following the traumatic event. Now, Reddington revealed that Lindsay is permanently paralyzed from the waist down. He claimed that she sustained irreparable injury and will never be able to move her legs again. The attorney said that she will be paralyzed "forever," citing her medical records and discussion with doctors.

'She's suicidal. She's extremely emotional'

Following a diagnosis that she need ongoing medical and psychological care, the mother was recently transferred to Tewksbury Hospital under the supervision of the state Department of Mental Health. Previously, it was revealed that Clancy was reportedly suffering from postpartum psychosis when she murdered her children, as per MEAWW's report.

During Lindsay's arraignment in February, Reddington described her worsening mental health, stating, “She's suicidal. She's extremely emotional. However, she's unable and has been unable to express any happiness or sadness or cry. Her emotional state is so bad that there's a significant fear of suicide. She has to have someone sit in the room 24/7 to watch her; they don't talk to her. They're not, you know, chatting it up. They just sit there and watch out of that concern that she would commit suicide.”
