'Late Late Show' host James Corden recaps 4 years of Trump presidency in 3 minutes, viewers say 'vote him out'
The US elections this year has been the loudest in recent history. Social media is swarmed with people trying to make sure everyone votes this year. In addition, people that are not in support of #Trump2020 have gone the extra mile to remind everyone following them, why it's important to make sure POTUS doesn't take reign for four more years. They are doing this through videos, facts about how Trump has ruined democracy, speaking of the Muslim ban, the need for women's rights, the impeachment and many negative events that Trump has been directly associated with in the past four years.
Following the status quo, hosts of late-night TV shows have also followed suit, with Trump turning the butt of all their jokes. 'Late Late Show' host James Corden took to the show's official Instagram account to post a short video of where Corden recaps four years of Donald Trump presidency in three minutes, reminding everyone to vote. Of course, there were Trump supporters in the comments, but most of Corden's show fans reiterate one point in many ways, "Vote him out!"
The Instagram post's caption read, "4 years of Donald Trump in 3 Minutes - In case you were lucky enough to miss a single moment of Trump's presidency, James Corden is here to recap the last four years in just three minutes. #LateLateShow #JamesCorden." Corden started from the very beginning bringing up the fact that POTUS's inauguration crown was "super small," and went through events such as the "hateful" Muslim ban, Trump's visit with Kanye West, tell-all books about Trump that was "riddled with scandals", Trump's visit to Korea's, his "new dictator crush", Trump's racist remarks, him calling Jeffery Epstein a "terrific guy" and much much more.
To the amusement of his audience, Corden made sure that his short monologue rhymed at every beat as he took hits not only at Trump but members of his family as well. Corden ended the monologue saying, "Think about the country that you want to live in. And if looking at polls, makes you break out into hives, then vote tomorrow and we can move on with our lives."
Hashtags with #BidenHarris2020 swarmed the comments, along with many hating on Corden with hashtags such as #Trump2020 and #MAGA. Either way, "vote him out," seemed to be the consensus for viewers that supported Corden's obvious tone toward Trump in the post. "I'm no American but this wants me to vote," said one user. Another commented, "Biden Harris will clear up his mess." Muslim users were also thrilled with one adding, "The way I smiled when he mentioned us Muslims and what unfair crap was done to us by that old hag. I love you sir."
Other comments included, "Honestly, I'm literally in love with the fact that you just EASILY ended him with. 3-minute video, vote blue!" "Brilliant! Still amazes me how anyone can support a fascist dictator like Trump. Good grief, bye bye Trump cult. #bidenharris2020 #saveourdemocraxy #dumptrump" "I am not from USA but I am really scared of the results, VOTE HIM OUT!"
Of course in midst of all this, people expressed sarcastically that they knew which side the show stands on. One user wrote, "James, just stop. Like seriously. Trump did many great things over the last 3 years. You just point out anything negative. It's disturbing. And no one wants or needs your opinion." Other naysayers also called out the host on the fact that his show was meant for "comedic purposes" and not politics.
Either way, the point of the comedic video was to make sure people go out and vote.
